I will give you thanks with my whole heart.

I will give you thanks with my whole heart.Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.

I will bow down toward your holy temple,and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth;for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.

In the day that I called, you answered me.You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, The LORD,for they have heard the words of your mouth.

Yes, they will sing of the ways of The LORD;for great is The LORD's glory.

For though the LORD is high, yet he looks after the lowly;but the proud, he knows from afar.

Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me.You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies.Your right hand will save me.

The LORD will fulfill that which concerns me;your loving kindness, The LORD, endures forever.Don't forsake the works of your own hands.
Ps 138:1-8. David thanks God for His benefits, and anticipating a wider extension of God's glory by His means, assures himself of His continued presence and faithfulness.

before the gods--whether angels (Ps 8:5); or princes (Ex 21:6; Ps 82:6); or idols (Ps 97:7); denotes a readiness to worship the true God alone, and a contempt of all other objects of worship.
