For this is a word of promise, "At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son."Genesis 18:10,14

and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh?'Genesis 2:24

"For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh."Genesis 2:24

and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness"; and he was called the friend of God.Genesis 15:6

As it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations." This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.Genesis 17:5

But those who are outside, God judges. "Put away the wicked man from among yourselves."Deuteronomy 17:7; 19:19; 21:21; 22:21; 24:7

for our God is a consuming fire.Deuteronomy 4:24

For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not commit murder."Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18 Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.Exodus 10:13; Deuteronomy 5:17

The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, "In you all the nations will be blessed."Genesis 12:3; 18:18; 22:18

"that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."Deuteronomy 5:16

Again he says,"Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people."Deuteronomy 32:43

Jesus answering, said to him,"It has been said, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"Deuteronomy 6:16

"It was also said, 'Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,'Deuteronomy 24:1

Jesus said to him,"Again, it is written, 'You shall not test the Lord, your God.'"Deuteronomy 6:16

It's also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15

For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain." Is it for the oxen that God cares,Deuteronomy 25:4

Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you."Deuteronomy 31:6

For we know him who said, "Vengeance belongs to me," says the Lord, "I will repay." Again, "The Lord will judge his people."Deuteronomy 32:35Deuteronomy 32:36; Psalm 135:14

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."Deuteronomy 27:26

"Again you have heard that it was said to them of old time, 'You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,'Numbers 30:2; Deuteronomy 23:21; Ecclesiastes 5:4

But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart"; that is, the word of faith, which we preach:Deuteronomy 30:14

But I ask, didn't Israel know? First Moses says,"I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation,with a nation void of understanding I will make you angry."Deuteronomy 32:31

For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."Exodus 20:13-15,17; Deuteronomy 5:17-19,21Leviticus 19:18

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn't have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn't have known coveting, unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."Exodus 20:17; Deuteronomy 5:21

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.'Exodus 21:24; Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21

For God commanded, 'Honor your father and your mother,'Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'Exodus 21:17; Leviticus 20:9

For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother;'Exodus 20:12; Deuteronomy 5:16and, 'He who speaks evil of father or mother, let him be put to death.'Exodus 21:17; Leviticus 20:9

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn't say, "To descendants", as of many, but as of one, "To your offspring", which is Christ.Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7
