But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was written in their law, 'They hated me without a cause.'Psalms 35:19; 69:4

He said to them,"This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled."

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

For it is written in the book of Psalms,'Let his habitation be made desolate.Let no one dwell therein;'Psalm 69:25and,'Let another take his office.'Psalm 109:8

David himself says in the book of Psalms,'The Lord said to my Lord,"Sit at my right hand,

For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not commit murder."Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18 Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.Exodus 10:13; Deuteronomy 5:17

saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you."Exodus 24:8

Do you want to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?'Exodus 2:14

Don't be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."Exodus 32:6

for they could not stand that which was commanded, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned";Exodus 19:12-13

The LORD's word came to Zechariah, saying,

'Honor your father and your mother.'Exodus 20:12-16; Deuteronomy 5:16-20And, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"Leviticus 19:18

of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;

Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah, and Mikloth.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."Exodus 9:16

and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.Exodus 19:6; Isaiah 61:6

Paul said, "I didn't know, brothers, that he was high priest. For it is written, 'You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.'"Exodus 22:28

But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed at the bush, when he called the Lord 'The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.'Exodus 3:6

Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper of the door of the Tent of Meeting.

"You have heard that it was said,'You shall not commit adultery;'Exodus 20:14

Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

Of the sons of Elam: Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, and Abdi, and Jeremoth, and Elijah.

His brothers by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was listed: the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,

Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zechariah his son reigned in his place.

and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.

Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;

of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah; of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner;

"Don't be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey's colt."Zechariah 9:9

Jesus said to them,"All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, 'I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.'Zechariah 13:7

and some of the priests' sons with trumpets: Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph;

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, The LORD's word came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

He set himself to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the vision of God; and as long as he sought The LORD, God made him prosper.

(as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord"),Exodus 13:2,12

Others said, "These are not the sayings of one possessed by a demon. It isn't possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?"Exodus 4:11

I have surely seen the affliction of my people that is in Egypt, and have heard their groaning. I have come down to deliver them. Now come, I will send you into Egypt.'Exodus 3:5,7-8,10

Also in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben Hail, Obadiah, Zechariah, Nethanel, and Micaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah;

and Zechariah, Aziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with stringed instruments set to Alamoth;

Then The LORD's Spirit came on Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, the Levite, of the sons of Asaph, in the middle of the assembly;

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel in Samaria six months.

and their brothers who did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty-two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,

For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."Exodus 20:13-15,17; Deuteronomy 5:17-19,21Leviticus 19:18

As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack."Exodus 16:8

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn't have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn't have known coveting, unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."Exodus 20:17; Deuteronomy 5:21

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.'Exodus 21:24; Leviticus 24:20; Deuteronomy 19:21

who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, "See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain."Exodus 25:40

for the precious things of the earth and its fullness,the good will of him who lived in the bush.Exodus 3:3-4.Let this come on the head of Joseph,on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.

Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before God's ark; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeuel; and of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;

Of the sons of Shecaniah, of the sons of Parosh, Zechariah; and with him were listed by genealogy of the males one hundred fifty.

Now the prophets, Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem. They prophesied to them in the name of the God of Israel.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna,Exodus 11:7-9.and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it.

Of the sons of Bebai, Zechariah the son of Bebai; and with him twenty-eight males.

The brother of Micah: Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, 'He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.'"Exodus 16:4; Nehemiah 9:15; Psalm 78:24-25

On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, The LORD's word came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying,

Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, for Elnathan, for Jarib, for Elnathan, for Nathan, for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib and for Elnathan, who were teachers.

The elders of the Jews built and prospered, through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. They built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the decree of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

Hezekiah began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

The Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said to them, "Thus says God, 'Why do you disobey The LORD's commandments, so that you can't prosper? Because you have forsaken The LORD, he has also forsaken you.'"

In the fourth year of king Darius, The LORD's word came to Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.

He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah.

The men did the work faithfully. Their overseers were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to give direction; and others of the Levites, who were all skillful with musical instruments.

Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;

Jehoash said to the priests, "All the money of the holy things that is brought into The LORD's house, in current money, the money of the people for whom each man is evaluated, and all the money that it comes into any man's heart to bring into The LORD's house,Exodus 30:12

Ezra the scribe stood on a pulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hashbaddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.

For he said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."Exodus 33:19

Some of the children of Judah and of the children of Benjamin lived in Jerusalem. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;

He had brothers, the sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azariah, Michael, and Shephatiah. All these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.

His princes gave for a freewill offering to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, the rulers of God's house, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand six hundred small livestock, and three hundred head of cattle.
